There are many good reasons to put your property on the market. Some examples include a relocation, job transfer, kids leaving the nest, need to upsize or downsize and the list goes on.
However, there are some less than obvious indicators that it might be time to sell.
Consider the following:

1. Your property is no longer a good fit

Your home may have been perfect for you when you bought it a few years ago. But things change, families grow, needs evolve. Sometimes, for any number of reasons your home may no longer be the best fit for you. If that's the case, you can at least look at what's available on the market. Who knows? Your next "perfect" home might be for sale right now and within your price range!

2. The neighbourhood is changing

You may have been in love with the neighbourhood when you first moved in. But over time things can change. Things don't have to change necessarily for the worst. In fact, they may be changing in a positive way. Pehaps becoming more urban, or "too urban" for your taste, busier and harder to get around. So check on the direction your neighbourhood is heading, and ask yourself: would I see myself living here in a couple of years?

3. You are finally ready for your dream home

As many of us know, the first home does not always offer all the features we may want. Was this your dream home or you had to compromise on a few things in order to jump on the ownership wagon. Sometime the kitchen could have been a little bit more spacious, or the backyard a bit more private.. It worked for you then, but do you "have" to keep compromising?

Those are just three indicators it might be time for you to start considering a new home. Of course, there are many other reasons.
